I was so excited! The coffee finally arrived. Well, sort of.

The new labels arrived the day after the coffee, but I sent one special bag to someone that really helped us out earlier this year. This morning, I brewed the first pot of Coffee or Origin from the new batch.

Except it wasn’t Coffee of Origin. At least it didn’t smell like Coffee of Origin. And, come to think of it, it didn’t really taste like Coffee of Origin either.

I’m going to try another bag. Maybe this bag was an anomaly. The friend I sent the coffee to told me today that it was good: a mild roast with a subtle, smooth flavor. However, the bag that I opened didn’t taste like I know Coffee of Origin should.

With all this being said, I’m not sure I want to ship this to our customers. I’m not sure that this truly reflects our brand and the taste we want to provide people with.

I’m going to open up another bag and try it. I’ll keep you posted.
