Holiday Coffee Bag

Update! (Can’t you hear in your head that little beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beeeeeep that used to prceed the breaking news on television…?)

After being on coffee hiatus for so long, I have much to share with the world of coffee lovers.

First of all, if you don’t live hear locally, you missed out!  It turns out that there were just a couple of bags that were not up to Coffee of Origin (COO) standards.  So we went to the local markets offered a holiday promotion.  Guess what? The coffee of was still awesome!  I didn’t have one complaint.  Instead, I had rave reviews and people clamoring for more…we sold out in record time!  However, we learned some lessons regarding coffee on this round that we will be implementing in the future.

Second, we have a new farm.  There are something like 860,000 farms in Colombia and only around 10,000 of them have the hierloom beans that we offer in a COO cup.   Obviously, not all of those farms offer Caturra beans.

Our newest farm is located in the Rio Negro valley of the Santander region and the elevation is just under 3020 ft above sea level..  It is a Caturra bean and I was able to get a sample ahead of time.  It has a darker flavor than the previous harvest and a slightly smoked smell to it.

The coffee should arrive the week of the 24th, so hurry up and place your orders.  We are only getting about 200 bags in this shipment and they will go fast.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!

Talk to you soon!
