I can almost taste it.

These are exciting times at Coffee of Origin! After months of false starts, we finally have the website up and running. First and foremost, I want to say thank you to Chip Bennett! He fixed a major issue for me at WordCamp Columbus and now I am proud to present the new Coffee of Origin site to you.

We are on the cusp of truly re-launching a great product. Ten years ago, when all this began, we had no idea that it would be such a bumpy road. Ten years ago the ideas behind of Coffee of Origin were so hard to grasp that many people could not envision what we were trying to do. Now, it seems that we are part of a movement. Fair trade, shade grown and hand-picked are associated with a handful of our competitors. I think the difference is that we actually go to the farms. We spend time with the people who live and work there. We care about them and truly want to help them as they are helping us to bring an exceptional product to you.

Irma, the coffee scientist, is at a coffee conference/fair this weekend. She is personally selecting the beans that are going to go into this next batch. She is meeting with the farmers, testing soil and carefully selecting the best Caturra beans.

This means that the coffee should be here no later than October 15th. Since we are selecting it from one farm, we are only ordering 300 bags of coffee. Once that is gone, it’s gone…

Look for me via Coffee of Origin on Twitter, Facebook. Google +, Linked In and Facebook. I would love to connect with you online.

Come and help us celebrate our return to the market. Be a part of our success and enjoy it over the best cup of coffee.

Talk to you soon
