My name is Irma Mayorga and I founded Especialistas del Café nine years ago. I am passionate about coffee and I want to share that passion with others.

My school is located in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia and Coffee of Origin was created in our laboratory. I have had students from all over the world come to study with me. Some are simply interested in improving their general knowledge and others are baristas currently working in some of the finest cafes and hotels, executives of coffee companies, owners, gastronomy students, coffee cultivators as well as the RoastMasters for Coffee of Origin.

From the daily coffee drinker to a serious student who is preparing for a job in the industry, we offer education for your needs. Some of the topics covered here include the culture and cultivation of coffee, correct preparation, barista techniques for espresso, coffee processes and industrialization, and laboratory analysis. I am looking forward to meeting you here at the school during visits that Coffee of Origin will be offering in the future along with trips to the farm and to our roasting facilities.
